Medford’s parks, playgrounds, and open spaces are some of the most valuable assets in our community and they are widely used by residents - and visitors - of all ages. All 300 acres of our parks and open spaces should be a source of pride and must be accessible and safe for users of all ages and abilities.

In my first term I committed to making park upgrades a priority, and in 18 months my administration has been able to find creative funding sources, many outside of the city’s general fund budget, to begin planning for projects both large and small at more than 30 parks throughout the community, and we already have more in the works.
